RONKEL MERI organised an event to certify its current batch of students. Our students performed and were awarded with a certificate of merit from our Chief Guests Bollywood Film Writer and Director, Mr. Anurag Kashyap and Major General, Mr. Rajiv Edwards. Our students’ performances were very much appreciated by Mr. Anurag Kashyap. He also supported our 51% scholarship program and encouraged our students to continue with their hard work.
We conducted a 7 day workshop titled “Acting for Screen & Stage” at Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur. For the first time we applied our highly researched and innovative acting technique named “RONKEL ACTING”. 30 students were selected out of more than 200 willing candidates after the interview and audition. The opening ceremony was graced by Mr. Rajiv Arora, the then Vice Chairman of Rajasthan Foundation (a Govt. org). Even though the workshop witnessed participants from freshers to theatre artists having more than 25 years of experience, everyone learnt and experienced something unique which changed their perspective towards the art of acting as well as life.
The overall workshop was highly beneficial and quite a new experience for the participants as mentioned by them.
Member of Parliament, Dr. Mahesh Joshi and the then Additional District Judge, Jaipur, Mr. Ajay Kumar Sharma graced the closing ceremony with their presence. Mrs. Asha Singh (IAS), Chief, Jawahar Kala Kendra also appreciated our efforts by saying “I have never seen such kind of enthusiasm and eagerness to learn the craft of acting in my tenure.”
